Role
devicethread is seeking a driven and experienced Sales and Business Development Executive to grow our presence across India, the Middle East, and the broader Asia region. This hybrid role combines direct sales with strategic business development, focusing on opportunities within the hospitality and short-term rental sectors, as well as managing and expanding relationships with regional hardware partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Execution – India and Middle East
- Identify and close sales opportunities within the hospitality and short-term rental verticals.
- Generate leads through direct outreach or campaigns.
- Engage with hotel owners, operators, and deployment partners to promote the devicethread platform.
- Lead customer presentations and demos, manage proposal creation, and support contract closure remotely with minimal travel maintaining a high volume of transactions.
- Maintain a clear understanding of customer needs and tailor solution positioning accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams (technical, onboarding, support) to ensure smooth handoff and customer satisfaction.
Business Development – Asia Region
- Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with hardware vendors and manufacturing partners across India and Asia.
- Collaborate with product and supply chain teams to evaluate new hardware integrations.
- Negotiate favorable terms with local partners while aligning with global product strategies.
- Help establish a regional sourcing and partner framework to support Devicethread’s growth.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partner management.
- Direct experience in the hospitality or short-term rental technology space.
- Strong understanding of smart infrastructure, guest access systems, and property operations tech.
- Proven ability to independently drive deals from lead generation through close.
- Experience managing vendor relationships in India or Asia.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable working in a remote, high-growth environment with cross-functional teams.
Additional Details:
- Must be based in India.
- Occasional travel across India, the Middle East, and Asia may be required.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, CRM systems (Salesforce, Zoho, Hubspot), and collaboration platforms is preferred.
